San Francisco.

The Venture Magazine is a Mt. Hood Community College student run publication. The layouts in this issue were created to capture the themes of the stories written. “Jazz in the Hood” is a story about the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival. The layout has a Blue Note record cover feel that is iconic to Jazz music.
“Dogs’ Paradise” is about Thousand Acres dog park in Troutdale, Oregon. A transparent green stripe moving through the pages acts as the motion of a tennis ball. This represents dogs at play.
The cover and layout design of the book “Notes On Being A Graphic Designer” appeals to graphic designers. The color scheme and cartoon-like imagery of Pushpin Studios mixed with Swiss Modern typeface invokes recognition to these significant design eras.
The brand and packaging design developed for Stay Gold crackers appeals to adults who shop at Whole Foods. The colors are warm and inviting as the minimalist images blend into the eco-friendly packaging.
The collateral for the Project Pabst Music Festival campaign targets a wide audience. The use of silkscreened posters and badges gives an artistic spirit that appeals to a variety of music lovers. The badge design combines image representation from each headlining band to create the festival logo.
To create hype for the Project Pabst Music Festival, all the posters were silkscreened and individually numbered. The idea was that if someone took a picture of a poster with the number, posted it to Instagram, and hashtagged #projectpabstposter, they were entered into a drawing to win free tickets.
